The Treklist Story
The Founder / Kristi Johnson
I love anything primitive, rustic, outdoors, in a state or national park, recreational, and adventurous. There is nothing better than the feeling of reaching a goal...biking a distance that once seemed impossible, reaching the summit of a peak, or enjoying a new outdoor space. Treklist Adventures is my opportunity to share that great feeling of accomplishing adventure goals with you. The scrapbooks and maps allow you to document your outdoor experiences and look back on your memories for years to come. / The two little adventurers pictured with me are my niece and nephew who are part of the inspiration story / |
The Inspiration / The Kinsman Family
In 2009 Angela and Josh (Kristi's sister and brother-in-law) were expecting their first child. They made the goal of visiting all the Wisconsin State Parks before that same new baby graduated high school. As a Christmas gift in 2014 Kristi designed a scrapbook for them to document their state park memories. A few friends loved the scrapbook idea and asked for copies so the Treklist Adventure Scrapbook idea was born but not officially printed until 2018.The Kinsmans now have four kids and only have five parks left to visit to complete their goal of vising all the Wisconsin State Parks. / Picture taken at Governor Thompson State Park in Wisconsin / |
The Mascot / Tae
Tae is our adventurer cat. She loves going on hikes with us on the land surrounding our house. She follows along, sometimes gets distracted, hops on the ATV, will go for boat rides, and sometimes gets in trouble (like falling through thin ice). Once she gets used to her harness she'll join on hikes at our local state park, Perrot. / Also pictured is my husband, Dan, who should be given lots of credit for bringing many of these outdoor adventures into my life. Treklist Adventures may not be a reality without his encouragement. / |
